2. How long have you been making websites?
writing them since i was 13. making them in weebly since i was 9 and in the library at lunch.
3. And what got you into the hobby?
not sure! i think i've just always had a strong interest in them..
4. What kind of website are you most interested in?
personal sites, especially shrines where people go all out!
5. What's your workflow? Do you plan your websites out thoroughly or do you come up with the design as you go along?
kind of non-existent. i jot down ideas and inspiration, but otherwise i see as i go
6. Please link to your biggest inspirations.
dokode.moe. i'd been browsing sites for a little while, but that really jumpstarted me to make this one
7. What's your favourite part about making websites?
i find writing them to be super relaxing. except for when something doesn't work as expected. then the best part is the satisfaction of getting it to work
8. And the thing you struggle with the most?
properly optimising the way i create pages. i think ssg's may help with this? don't know, what i'm doing rn is working enough
9. Do you keep the same layout on all of your pages? Or do you use different ones?
mostly so far, but i have more off-layout pages planned :]
10. How confident are you with CSS?

11. Do you know how to correctly use <dl>?
im very embarrassed to admit i've not used it before.. i will be using it now..
12. What is your favourite HTML element?
i like <hr>
13. If you're making a new web page from scratch, what is the first thing you do?
i try to avoud it. i like to copy in something else to work off as a base
14. Do you know JavaScript?
no... i can understand some parts and tweak it, but i definitely can't write it myself

16. Does your website have a theme that you stick to?
kind of! green is good, except for when something else fits better
17. Are you more focused on content or design?
content for sure. on this site anyway
18. Do you own a domain name? If not, would you ever want to?
no, but i think i'd like to at some point
19. What do you think of nostalgia-focused or "retro" websites?
i think they're great :] mine takes inspirations from a lot of older sites
20. Is your HTML valid? Do you even check?
mostly. i think i've run some parts through checkers at some points.. if it works it works
21. What are your opinion on buttons and banners?
love them! i think i first (remember) stumbling across them on deviant art (before they gutted the site)
22. What do you think of button walls in particular?
awesome! i think a lot of the practicality can be lost, but the joy of an awesome button wall makes up for it
23. If you started over again, would you make something similar or completely different?
similar i think
24. Are you envious of other people's websites?
a bit. i try to focus on taking inspiration and thinking about how i might implement a similar idea to my site
25. What text editor do you use?
i gave up i just edit straight in neocities. sorry.
26. Why do you use that one?
lazy.... the ones i've used on mac aren't great and this works fine for me. it also makes me more likely to update stuff because it's less of a hassle
27. Do you host your image files on your web server, or on another host?
just on neocities
28. This might not be relevant to you, but what's your opinion on the Neocities vs. Nekoweb debate?
didn't know it was happening.. i've been using neocities since before nekoweb popped up so that's why i use it
29. How much server space would you estimate your main website takes up?
neocities says 504.75 MB. that jumped up a LOT in the last couple days. oops
30. Do you keep local backups of your files?
no. i have soooo many adobe files on my computer and drives i don't need all of this stuff too. i should at some point though
31. Do you prefer simple or highly visual websites?
hmm.. i really like both
32. Do you stick to certain colours? Do you do that on purpose, or is it your subconscious?
yes, kind of? i just like green a lot
33. Have you ever thought about quitting? Why?
no not ever. i just come back to my site when i have time

nope :[ my girlfriend lets me show them stuff though and they're always impressed lol
35. Do people in your real life know about your website?
kind of. i have it linked in some ways to socials that irls have, but i'm not sure that any have looked past the homepage
36. Do you update your website very often? How often is "very often"?
i took an accidental almost 2 year break... but once i'm back into the swing it's usually quite often
37. And the overall design, do you change that much? Why or why not?
nooooooooooooo. i'm not doing all of that.

interest-focused

no

yeah! i study graphic design and i think doing some web design would be awesome. my sites that i create for class are pretty different, this one is a lot more laid-back, and me not stressing about every minor detail. i'm currently a full-time student and the job market is badddddd...
41. Do you communicate with people by email very much?
noooot really
42. Some people reject social media and use websites as a replacement. Do you keep social media outside of your website?
not really. i'd like to leave more socials, but it's where i connect with a lot of other artists, especially in my city.
43. How about instant messengers? Do you use a mainstream one like Discord or Telegram? Or something like Matrix? Do you avoid them?
i just use discord. it's where my groupchat of like 7 years is and i'm in uni clubs and other group servers
44. Do you listen to music while you work on websites? If so, what kinds of artists?
sometimes.. lately it's been some ninajirachi, but some more chill things work too. i struggle to write if i can hear too many words
45. Do you keep everything you make on one website, or do you have more than one?
just one, for now anyway

i guess kind of my real self, but i don't give it much thought

not on here exactly. i've met some cool people and that's plenty enough for me to consider them a friend of sorts

entirely iframe-based sites. sorry guys i know they look cool but i want to properly bookmark your page

no, i dabbled in opera several years ago though

i've been a lifelong firefox user since i was 6. uhm... it's nice. i like it

mac (sequoia 15.7.3, i don't really want to update to tahoe for as long as i can avoid)

not really. i'm happy to use windows (or linux) but i just so happen to like mac's ui

no... sorry. maybe someday, but i'm really just making my site for myself

don't like it. just let me click play myself. i'll probably close the page, if not, i won't listen to any of the music (or god forbid videos)

my ideal website is somewhere i can put things that i like and organise them in a way that makes me happy

writing breaks as </br>, i think my old IT teacher was encouraging me to write it that way as it was being actively phased out

just start! that's the hardest part!

i don't like them :( i really like to be able to access a certain page easily. i understand the appeal though

not sure? i use tables for some sections on my site where i shouldn't (usually to avoid js). i'll fix it up eventually. maybe.
70. Do you subscribe to the ideas of "one-column", "two-column" and "three-column" layouts? Do you use any of these?
i guess on this site i mostly have it as two-column, apart from the three-column homepage. i don't really think about it

oooo.. html because i do more of it, but i do spend awhile tweaking the css

no, it seems nice for certain use-cases. i've not found one yet

nooooo...i wish. i have way more ideas for pages than ideas for layouts.

some weird mix. i think i'm generally quite capable, but my html and css knowledge is 95% self-taught as i go, so i think i have some real gaps in my knowledge

in terms of html/css, i think i started by customising my profile on a site called furvilla when i was 12

i use % sometimes, px is easy and makes my brain happy

sometimes. not really. a lot of them are resources so it doesn't often make sense to
